We just returned to Indiana from our long summer in California. Caton had a summer associate job at a local law firm in California, so we spent the whole summer living at my parent's house. Layla had so much fun playing with her aunts and uncles and her grandparents.
We did a lot of fun things while we were there.
Disneyland was Layla's favorite! She got to meet all of her favorite Disney princesses, including Sleeping Beauty (her most favorite)!
By the end of the day, she was worn out!
We did a lot of swimming in the pool and at the beach. Layla is a good little swimmer and loved to play in the sand. Michelle liked to sit at the beach, relax, and let Layla's aunts and uncles do all the work.
Grandma took Layla and Michelle to the Santa Barbara Zoo. Layla loved the elephants, flamingos, giraffes, and oddly enough...the snakes. At the zoo gift shop, all she wanted to buy was a huge rubber snake.
Caton, Michelle, Layla, Matt and Belize went to a Dodger game. We had great seats (right behind 3rd base) and we ate lots of junk...Dodger dogs, ice cream, and peanuts. Layla was a good little cheerleader!
At the end of the summer, we took a family trip to Lake Powell. Michelle was almost 8 months pregnant, so she did a lot of reading, relaxing, and floating in the water. Caton and Layla had lots of fun on the wave runner. Layla loved to swim and play in the sand. We had a really good time.
