A Jump Rope

One of Layla's friends gave Layla a jump rope for her birthday. As common and simple a toy as a jump rope is, Layla has never had or heard of one. Still, I didn't think to explain to Layla what a jump rope was and what to obviously do with it. After hearing it's name, Layla concluded that to use a jump rope, you simply hold it while jumping. Not jump over it like we traditionally do...just jump with it. So for the past few days, Layla has been hopping and jumping around the house, jump rope in hand, having a great time. Maybe after I stop finding it so funny I will show her how to really jump rope.
