My Dad

Yesterday, my dad had business in Denver and so, to Layla's infinite delight, he joined us for dinner last night. Although he terrified Layla as a baby, she spent all day dramatically "missing her grandpa" and impatiently waiting for him to arrive. Jack was a little scared at first of this strange man, but once he realized that Grandpa had a shiny Palm Treo, they were best friends!

He sure loves his grandkids and we love him. My dad is always supportive and full of good advice and encouragement.  As I sat with him and Caton after dinner, I couldn't help thinking about how lucky I am to have two of the best kind of men in my life. Both are so supportive of me as a mother and both are excellent examples of fatherhood. I love my dad and couldn't be more grateful for everything he has given me.
