I love Easter for many reasons.
Not only is the candy awesome (cadbury cream eggs, robin eggs...) and the dinner menu always good, but it is a time to think about family, our plan here on earth, and the love of our Savior.
I cannot express my gratitude for the Savior and the emotion I feel as I think about his love for me. As I watched my kids find their easter baskets and immediately stuff their faces with chocolate, I felt such gratitude for Jesus Christ, his sacrifice and the very real power of the atonement. Because He died for us and was resurrected, I am comforted that I will always be able to hold, love, and be with my children.
Also, the coincidence that Easter fell on our 7th wedding anniversary this year has added more depth to my emotions today. I am so grateful for Caton and that he will be my husband and my best friend forever. Knowing that we are an eternal family comforts me and brings me immeasurable joy.
