home again...

Another successful Lake Powell trip! No one died and nothing--including shoes, sunglasses, hats, and small children--sank 1,000 feet to the bottom of the lake. There were no unmanageable sunburns or bug bites and no serious water sport injuries. The weather was perfect and the scenery was spectacular. And after a long day of skiing, wake-boarding, wake surfing, and wave-running, there is nothing quite comparable to sharing stories and marshmallows around a campfire and then falling asleep beneath millions of stars. All in all it was a great trip.

But--I have to admit--as we pulled in to our garage late last night, our muscles were a little sore, our hair was a little grimy, and we were nearly crying for joy at the sight of our working refrigerator, our clean soft bed, our odor-free toilets, and our lovely shower.

Thanks Dad and Mom for the trip. Lake Powell is the highlight of our summer and we love every minute of it!
