BIT this little boy on the cheek...
We were shocked! The pictures don't even capture the purple and red welt on poor Jack's face. Our sweet and sensitive Layla went through one brief biting phase when she was baby, but never anything like this!
Hopefully we disciplined her enough (lots and lots of tears as she picked a few of her favorite toys to throw in the trash) that she gets the message and this never happens again.
***Just as I finished that last sentence, Caton called me over to help deal with Layla's bloody nose (which--for all those ready to report me to child services--had nothing to do with her being disciplined) that dripped all over her jammies and my couch. It is days like these that all you can do is just throw your hands in the air and say in the Seinfeld fashion..."serenity now!"***

I can't believe that happened! Poor Jack. That is so out of character for Layla.
This probably wasn't what you had in mind when you said you wanted to toughen Jack up. I hope his cheek is okay and Layla's nose is okay.
