little moments...

The overall purpose of my blog is to journal events, milestones, pictures, and little moments that I never want to forget.  I feel like our family is changing daily and I keep reminding myself to live in the moment. I want to remember everything, but sometimes I feel overwhelmed with trying to get it all recorded...pictures, video, journaling...it's a lot of work. But at least I am trying. When my kids get older, I want them to look at their pictures and my blurb books and feel that they were loved and enjoyed. 

Here are a few pictures I took today. We were playing indoors and I refuse to use a flash, so they are not very crisp. I took some of the blurrier ones and kind of photoshopped them into how I felt about the picture. I think they turned out fun and of course, I think my kids are just the cutest things...but what mother doesn't...

A few days ago, Layla asked me for a favor. Jokingly, I told her that I would do her the favor if she "loved me forever and ever!" She thought about that for a second, rolled her eyes and said, "how about for just five minutes?"

This is Jack's "cheese" smile. He is becoming quite the clown. He knows when to ham it up and loves to get us laughing. Also, he is a firm believer in the healing power of a mother's kiss. Since he always seems to be getting hurt, I give a lot of kisses. Today I have kissed most of his fingers, his foot, his ear, and--after trying to eat a plastic play doughnut--he had me kiss his teeth.
