Poor Jack...I have been so bad about his birthday. We were so busy on Saturday (his real birthday) that we kind of pretended it wasn't his birthday at all. We sang to him in the morning, but after that there were no presents, no cake, no special treatment ( a birthday must in my opinion)...Caton and I even went out on a date with friends that evening...how sad is that? I know I sound like a bad mother, but I think we more than made up for it on Sunday (and luckily Jack didn't really know the difference). Caton's dad was in town and so we had a little birthday-cake-and-presents party with some friends. It was very fun and Jack loved all of his "manly" presents (Caton complains that Jack always plays with Layla's princess toys).
I can't even believe Jack is two. I know every mom says this but the time goes by so quickly. It feels like yesterday that he was born--all 8lbs and 14 oz of him. He is such a sweet little boy and I just love him so much. These past two years have just felt more full and more complete since he became part of our family. I have loved every minute of him and I truly look forward to this year. I love two year olds--they learn and grow so much this year. It will be fun to watch him become...Jack.

I love his cheese grin! He is such a boy! Golly, it seems like yesterday you dropped Layla off and rushed to the hospital to have Jack. Good times.
