1) Yesterday, I had to fill out a form with some personal information. When I came to the spot for my current address, I totally blanked. What the heck was my house number? I honestly could not remember. I felt so dumb and even dumber that I thought "18368 Kestrel Rise" sounded right. So that's what I wrote down. Too bad my address is "11457 Kestrel Rise"...not even close!!! What is wrong with me?!
2) Layla and I try to have "girl talk" on my bed at some point during the day. We often talk about school or primary or the names she hopes we can use if she ever gets a sister (lately her favorites have been Susna, Jenna, and Livna). But today she had a different topic in mind:
Me: What do you want to talk about today?
Layla: (very decidedly) Well, first I would like to talk about Indians - like what do they eat and how do they make their skirts and stuff. Then I would like to talk about the Pilgrims.
Me: umm...okay...
