is it already wednesday?

This whole year has felt like a whirlwind. Here is what we have been up to:

I have been trying to schedule some time to potty train Jack but I can't seem to fit it in anywhere. I need at least two weeks clear on my calendar to feel comfortable tackling this annoying task and it is just not happening. One good thing: Jack is super excited. We bought some Thomas underwear (we have to train the kids to call Jack's "underwear" instead of "panties") and a potty seat and Caton promised Jack a big boy "blue" bike once he stopped wearing diapers. Already Jack uses the toilet without even being asked. I just need to bite the bullet, ditch the diapers, and prepare for the worst. Layla was so easy to potty train...hopefully Jack will be the same.

Mother's Day was the most wonderful day! Growing up I thought my mom was just being polite "oooohing" and "ahhhing" over our stupid handmade cards and poems. But when my kids gave me their homemade gifts this year, I almost cried. I couldn't think of anything money could buy that would mean more to me than the drawings from my babies. Caton's gifts (notice the plural) weren't too shabby either. In fact, I will be enjoying one of them this evening at the s-p-a! Seriously heaven..

Caton and I are heading to Los Angeles tomorrow for a little getaway/"Welcome Home Elder Peter" weekend. I am so excited to see my little brother. And spending some quality time alone with my handsome husband ain't bad either.

Other ways we have been passing time: planning cub scouts, working at the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple in preparation for it's open house, Real Salt Lake soccer games, going to an Eagles concert, scuba certification classes (Caton), preschool, ballet, trying to develop a liking for sushi, photo shoots, and just enjoying the lovely spring weather.
