Layla goes to school Thursday mornings and so I like to spend a little time with Jack doing errands or whatever. Yesterday we had only a few errands...so we went to Red Robin's for a lunch date. Not much of a conversationalist, but Jack was still fun to be with. He got mac and cheese (the biggest rip-off menu item in restaurant history--it's just kraft mac and cheese) and a chocolate malt, which he WOULD NOT share with me. The only thing that bugged me was that our 12 year old waitress kept calling me "hon". I may not be old, but I was definitely old enough that her constant "hon"-s just rubbed me the wrong way.
Later that day (while Caton went to his scuba class) I took the kids to the park. I normally hate the park (dirt+sweaty kids=me wanting to puke) but yesterday was lovely and I got some great pictures.
Top off this day with a two hour season premiere of So You Think You Can Dance and I would say it was a pretty good one.

We watched family home videos of the cousins tonight...you had just as much flair and attitude then (at age 10) as you do now! :) Cute pictures!
