I'm here, I promise...

What a week! Can June go by any faster? Seriously!

What have we been up to you ask? Let me see...

-Rain, rain, rain, and then a little more rain....I think it is going to rain forever. Not that I'm complaining really. I love the rain and don't wish to hurry the Utah summer heat. We'll get enough of that in July and August. But the rain has brought a few issues for us...

-Issues like FLOODING in our basement. So annoying! I went down to check on something in our basement this morning and found all of our toys floating in a pool of water. Luckily, only one side of our basement flooded...the side that the kids play in (not the side that we store like ALL our belongings). And remember that our basement is unfinished so even though it was super annoying to clean up all the water and dry off all the toys, nothing was really ruined.

-Also, we have had some serious hail. I couldn't pry the kids away from the window. They were fascinated....

-Saturday, I went to a photography workshop and left a little dazed--my learning capacity a little overloaded.  But I have already implemented some of my newfound knowledge and hopefully with a little practice (hint hint...call me if you want your pictures taken) I will be able to really improve.

-Yesterday I had a very unpleasant visit to the dentist. I am not even going to tell you how many cavities I have or what it's going to cost to get them filled...

-Last night, Caton's mom and I took Layla to SLC's Capitol Theatre to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. So good! I was worried that Layla wasn't going to like it---even though she knows every song and watches the movie all the time--but she was completely captivated and clapped louder that any other little girl in the audience. What a treat to expose my little girl to one of my favorite things to do. I hope that it becomes our "thing" and that she will accompany me to many more musicals in the years to come...

This has been a crazy week, but I did manage to spend some time today watching the rain with Jack. He insisted that he sit and watch the rain with his keyboard (random?) and was determined to catch rain with his bucket. He's such a funny little kid.

Yea! An update! I am so sorry about the dentist, the flooding, and the rain. I enjoy rain as well, but I do start to miss the sun. It just better be gone when we come! ;) LOVE the pictures of Jack. He is so not a baby anymore, what a little boy he is!
