I think our baby boy might be named Baby Boy. Caton and I cannot agree and I see no light at the end of the tunnel. He hates what I love, I hate what he loves...there isn't even one single name we are both "just okay" with. Of all the thousands of boy names out there, why can't we agree on one?
We have 20 more weeks to figure it out. I hit my 20 week mark today and I feel great. My only complaint is that I already feel huge. That's bad considering most of the baby's serious growth is in the second half of the pregnancy. Nothing like 20 more weeks to defy the laws of physics and get even bigger. I am so excited...not!
In other news, Layla lost her first tooth. Actually, the correct description would be that Layla got sick of having a loose tooth and asked Caton to pull it out with his pliers. Not only was this completely out of character for our timid little girl, but it was seriously the grossest thing ever. Pulling out teeth is definitely on Caton's list of duties. But now it is out, the tooth fairy has come and gone, and she couldn't be more proud to show off her gap. My little girl is growing up and there is nothing I can do to stop it.
Sunday after church we went on a fall drive. This is one of my most favorite things about living by the mountains. So much beauty. The leaves were so vivid and there was even some snow on the highest peaks. It was cold and colorful and wonderful. We topped the evening off with some hot chocolate and sent the kids to bed in warm, fuzzy, footed pajamas...it was a perfect day. I hope autumn sticks around for a while.
This weekend is our annual Hanson Girl Trip. Every year my sister-in-laws and mother-in-law try to get away for an extended weekend. We have done New York, Chicago, Southern Indiana, and Boston. This year is....VEGAS baby! Three and half days of shopping, dining out, spa treatments, cirque de soliel, staying up late, and sleeping in...all kid free. I am so excited. Another reason why October is the bomb!
I can't even tell you how excited I am to have another one of these....
Girls are great but can you even handle this little boy's smile?

Shayla has the same tooth loose! She has about 1 more week of it, I think, before she just can't stand it anymore and uses pliers to put it out herself! Good luck with the names. Something will fall into place. And I wish you were coming to Vegas to just see me. I am selfish, I know, but there it is. I am sad you'll be here and I won't get to see you! Have a great time!
Joshua was name "male" Jensen for his first 2 days in the hospital. Just an idea instead of baby boy ;)
