I was looking through my old blog posts and noticed that I don't take random pictures half as much as I used to. So this afternoon, I took my camera outside and just watched the kids play. There was a little leftover snow on the ground and kids wasted no time diving into it. Jack threw snow at everyone (and then ate it by the handful) and Layla jumped off every rock and snow mound she could find. I love just capturing the kids at play. What a wonderful gift it must be to just play - no worries, stresses, distractions...
And speaking of a wonderful gift, the weather has been lovely here in Utah. A little snow, brisk temperatures...perfect scarf and boot weather. Hot chocolate is still a treat - not a remedy for hypothermia - and nights have been about warm robes, blankets, and slippers. I love it!
Also, today marks a historic day for all my fellow California-born-and-raised Utahns....In-n-Out opened in Draper. I didn't go, but Caton brought me home a chocolate shake (is he seriously the best or what?). I hear the street was closed down and the line was unbelievable. I will wait a few days (maybe weeks) to become a regular.
I love this next picture of Jack. It all started with a play sword that we bought him on our trip. The sword has an attachment to put on a belt. Jack didn't have a belt and he REALLY wanted to put his sword on his belt, so we went to get one. Then he had to get one just like daddy's. And now he wears his belt every day, with every outfit, and shows it to EVERYONE.
This next picture isn't the greatest quality but I think I captured Layla's "jumping" enthusiasm just right...
