This Thanksgiving was amazing in all the usual aspects...good food, good company, good movies. But this year, I felt so much more grateful for all that I am blessed with.
On the drive to California, we got a call that my brother, sister, and sister's boyfriend Taylor (who were driving a few hours ahead of us) got in a car accident. They hit a truck, swerved, and flipped their car a few times. My brother and sister made it out okay (lots of cuts and bruising), but Taylor got the worst of it. They were rushed to a nearby hospital and then Taylor was airlifted to a better hospital because they found he had broken his neck. He was pretty beat up and has to wear a neck brace for the next few months, but it could have been a lot worse. Their car was totaled and by the looks of it, I am amazed they came away from the accident with little damage.
And so, this Thanksgiving, I was truly thankful for all the many blessings in my life. Here are some pictures of a few of them...
