Losing teeth is a hard process. It is the first of many awkward stages that all kids go through as they grow up.
Losing teeth for Layla is an especially hard process. Particularly her front teeth. They had been loose FOREVER! They were so loose, they were moving all over her mouth. Each morning her front teeth would pointing in a different direction. We begged and bribed her to let us pull them out but she would not let us touch them. Finally, we spotted a permanent tooth coming in BEHIND her loose one (which made her baby one even more crazy looking).
After much negotiation and toy promising, Layla let Caton pull out one of her front teeth. It was very dramatic and teary, but once it came out Layla could not be happier. The tooth was immediately cleaned, bagged, and put under her pillow for the tooth fairy. The tooth fairy came and now we are all a little happier (Layla for having two dollars and us for knowing our beautiful daughter no longer looks like a hillbilly).
