Every year I try to catch this orchard in bloom. It only blooms for a couple of weeks and since I live 40 minutes away, I am always afraid I will miss it. This evening I took engagement photos of Heather and Taylor and I was so so so so HAPPY to pull up to a blooming, gorgeous, perfect orchard. Yay!
Between the kissy, sickeningly sweet (just kidding) engagement shots, I caught a couple shots of my kids running around. These are my favorites.
A little note about Layla's outfit: She dresses herself! Striped swimsuit coverup, polka dot leggings, turquoise leopard headband?
We have three rules in our family concerning the kids' dressing.
1. It has to be modest
2. It has to be clean
3. It has to be weather appropriate
These rules generally work. I can usually gently persuade Layla to wear something cute and normal to school and church but as soon as she gets home, she changes into something crazy like the picture above. I am trying to not stifle her creative self expression but...seriously...we went to a restaurant tonight in this outfit!
