I just have to do a little post about this kid.

He is so funny. The way he views the world astounds me. I often wonder how he thinks and why he thinks the way he does and most importantly, how this boy - with so much personality - was sent to our family.

His latest: He loves to kiss.

Don't get me wrong, I love kisses. I want to go on record that I will always accept little kisses from my babies. I truly treasure each one and I realize that they won't always want to be kissed or worse, want to kiss me.

But Jack has taken it to the extreme. He kisses my hands, my legs, my head, my cheeks, my nose, my ears, my arms. It seems that everywhere I go, he's there and wants to kiss me. Then he moves on to Isaac - ears, nose, cheeks, feet, hands, belly, etc. Then Layla - if she lets him. Then Caton - when he's home. He squeezes and kisses with so much enthusiasm, it's almost as if he is going to explode.

And he does this ALL THE TIME. If I didn't hold true to my aforementioned disclaimer about how much I love kisses, I would almost call it....annoying? There, I said it. I struggle daily to keep from shouting "ENOUGH!" How awful am I? Seriously.

I have been so fed up lately with the constant kissing that I asked him why he loves to kiss so much. Here are his answers: Isaac's just so chubby. I just love you. Isaac wants me to kiss him. Isaac likes when I kiss him. You are just so soft. I just love everyone so much. I just miss daddy when he's at work. I just miss Layla when she's at school. I just love to kiss feet...

And the best answer: I just love to keep my lips warm.

Can't argue with that. But seriously, how can I refuse to let this little boy show his emotion? He has so much love in his little heart that he doesn't know what to do with it. He might smother Isaac, pester Layla, and annoy Caton and I with his constant kissing, but in the end...we just love him. How could we not?
