It's the one thing I love about year round school: going off track. 9 weeks on track, 3 weeks off. We get to vacation in the spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Layla goes off track tomorrow. And here's what we have planned:
We are leaving for Chicago to visit Caton's parents, ditching the kids there while Caton and I visit Toronto (it's our 10th anniversary) for two nights, coming back to Chicago for a few days, flying back to Salt Lake City, spending one day doing laundry and repacking bags, driving to Los Angeles to see my parents, going to Disneyland with Layla and Jack, relaxing in some warm-ish weather (hopefully), and the driving back to Salt Lake City.
I am a pretty equal mixture of excited and stressed. It's not easy to travel with kids, especially with a one year old. But it will be fun to visit with our parents and with each other. I feel like our little family is old enough that we are starting to truly enjoy spending time together on trips.
I am beyond excited about the little getaway Caton and I have planned in Toronto. Shopping, sleeping, sightseeing, dining out. No kids. Celebrating 10 years. It will be a fun trip :)

Have so much fun! If you need a place to stay on your trip to/from LA, let me know! Our house is small, but no one else is staying here right now, or anytime soon, so we'd have room for y'all if you want to break up that drive!
