Early December, Caton and I took a little trip to Antigua. We went with two other couples and spent a week eating, sleeping, and being warm. It is a beautiful little island and well worth the entire day spent on airplanes and in airports to get there. I was hoping to feel a little less nauseous by the time we left for our vacation, but I still spent the week semi-hating food. At least I got to sleep as much as I wanted to and relax by the pool all day. That was infinitely more enjoyable than making meals for my kids and changing diapers.
We didn't really do much on our trip. Caton and the other couples went zip-lining. I had to sit this one out because I was pregnant, but I really didn't mind. Caton also went scuba diving a few times. One day we rented scooters and atvs and drove around the island (that was my favorite activity). And another day, we went out on a boat and snorkeled all morning.
It was just the sort of vacation I needed. No kids, no schedule, no worries, no cooking, warm weather, drinks by the pool, reading all day...it was heaven.
I took a few pictures but I didn't pick up my camera nearly enough. For some reason I hate to take pictures when I am nauseous. And so I try to stay away from it all together so I don't taint my love of photography with memories of puking.
