isaac and jack...

I couldn't resist pulling out my camera as the boys enjoyed granola bars and sunshine in their baseball caps yesterday.

Isaac will be 2 next month. He doesn't go anywhere without "Ellie" the elephant. He sucks his thumb and sweetly says "no" to just about every question you ask him. He likes to sneak into the corner of the couch with my iPhone or iPad and play angry birds or cut the rope (amazing that he can do this completely on his own). He only eats pb&js, bananas, clementines, and milk. And doughnuts. He sleeps in a big boy bed but has a hard time staying in bed at bedtime. We usually find him "reading" (and by reading I mean tearing out pages of books so he can get a closer look at the pictures) by the bookcase or giggling underneath the covers at the foot of Jack's bed. He's pretty much the cutest little guy in the world.

Jack is 5. He loves everything but makes a great show of hating everything. Milkshakes? Disgusting, I hate them. Can I have another? School? I hate school, but is it time to go yet? He is a great helper and does his chores every morning happily. His New Years goals include taking showers everyday, being "healfy," and making money (with which he would like to buy a real lightsaber). Dinner is a constant battle. If we put 5 pieces of chicken on his plate, he does everything in his power to negotiate the required bites to 2. He claims to hate the taste of everything but has no problem with avocados, fruit snacks, granola bars, clementines, Naked Juice Green Machine, and of course...chocolate milk. Stars Wars is his life and he falls asleep every night reading the Legos Star Wars encyclopedia. I don't think there will ever be anyone like Jack.

I love my boys.
