My sweet Layla turned 9 last week. It's crazy to think that I have been a mother for nine years. Even crazier to think that in just another 9 year, Layla will be off to college. What?!
I love my Layla more than I could ever express. She is my first. She is my only girl. And she is the best little girl you could ask for. When she isn't doing her homework right after school, or practicing the piano, or helping me with Noah...she is usually drawing in her room, or playing with her american girl doll, or organizing something. She loves to coordinate outfits and sets out her clothes every night before school. She loves to write in her notebooks and read Judy Blume books. She earned $50 to help pay for an ipod that she wanted for her birthday and now she listens to Taylor Swift and Wicked while she cleans up her room.
She is so helpful with Noah. When she "babysitting," I can do things around the house without worrying too much about him.
Layla loves activity days, her friends, her books, and her music. She is a perfect student at school and loves riding the bus every morning with her friends. Sometimes she fights with her brothers, but let's be honest...brothers are annoying.
I love love love this little girl. Her humor is dry and sarcastic and she is easy going and flexible. I am so grateful that she is mine, cause I know everyone else wants a daughter like her.

She takes good care of everyone. I love how she gives me her room to stay in when we visit. She never complains and is so willing to help.

I think she is gorgeous and to me she looks really good! Now that I am in college I can put pictures of little girls I think look good on display life size in my apartment in my large digital picture displays without my mom saying stuff. The clarity and detail is so good she literally appears to be directly in front of me when I walk up to look at her and I love that! When I am studying or doing homework during the evening I love to take breaks and walk up to her and start kissing her. The display is warm and silky smooth and since she appears to be directly in front of me it is like she comes to life and I am really getting to kiss her, which I enjoy immensely. I find it is very relaxing and a lot of fun. I also love showing her off to some of my friends and talking about her looks.
