iphone, iphone, iphone...

Let's be honest. iPhones have changed the way we take pictures. I love photography. And I love my "real" camera. It captures so much detail that a camera phone isn't capable of. But my iPhone is always in my pocket. It's always available for those little moments throughout the day that I want to remember. And so…my "real" camera has rarely been used for my kids and my iPhone fills up like crazy. I also love Instgram and with so many cool editing apps for your phone, I am pretty happy with my collection of Instaphotos. Here are my favorites from the past few months.

And just for blogging's sake, here is an update on my family: We are busy! Busy with school, sports, church callings, family, work…just busy.

Layla is entering the world of the tween. She turned 10 in October and it feels more like 18. I am so happy slash sad. Happy she is getting older and more fun. Sad that she is not a little girl any more. We took her out to a fancy dinner for her birthday -- it was so much fun. She is sarcastic and witty. She loves school, reading, her friends, soccer, and basketball. She saved up her money to pay for half of the kindle we bought for her birthday. And she is gorgeous. Even the boys at school think so. She is perfect and I love, love, love that I have a daughter.

Jack turned 7 in November. He is so much fun. He loves everything that has to do with money - earning money, spending money, counting money. He is such a happy boy. Everything is always good. He rarely is sad and when he is, it's usually on behalf of someone else. He is protective of his brothers and he idolizes his dad.  He likes to be silly and he has a great sense of humor. When he doesn't understand something, he never asks "why?" He always asks "how?" I think it's indicative of how his little mind works. He always needs to know HOW things work. Consequently, he is good at math (and surprisingly the piano). And he loves to read. He makes me laugh every single day.

Isaac is 3. I am certain that our Heavenly Father sent him to our family just to love us. He is love. Just a bundle of love. Everyone that walks into our house gets an "Ohhh! I missed you!" and a big hug from this little guy. I can go into the garage for a minute and when I get back it's "Ohhh! I miss you!" I love it. No one makes you feel more loved than Ike. He is sweet and sensitive and so so loving. He is a little behind in his speech so I had him tested and he qualified for a speech therapy preschool. He starts this week. I am excited for him to start because I feel like sometimes our communication barriers frustrate him. He has so much love to give and I am excited for him to be able to express himself better. He loves Angry Birds - with a passion. Angry Birds all day every day. Star Wars Angry Birds too. He is so happy to quietly play with his toys all day --  with intermittent hugs and snuggles from his momma. Ike will NEVER say no to a snuggle.

Noah is 1. He is…um…busy. Busy, busy, busy. Happy, but busy. We had never baby proofed our house before he arrived. From the minute he wakes up to the minute he goes to bed, he is getting into things. He might make a zillion messes, but we still love him. He is the cutest little boy. I love his face and his little body so much, I must kiss him a million times a day. I can't stop. He is just too cute. I look at pictures of him when he was so sick with botulism and I thank my Heavenly Father every single day that he is healthy, happy, and ours.

Caton is busy with work and our family. He works so hard and yet still has time to spend with us. This year, he has gone to the temple every Wednesday morning at 5:15 am. Every week. I am seriously impressed. He always spends quality one on one time with the kids. And…he takes me out on a date EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. We never miss. I look forward to date night all week. Date night is the best night of the week and Caton is the best thing in our lives. We love him so much.

I am busy being a momma and all that goes with it. I also have a church calling to be a cub scout den leader. My photography business always gets busy in the fall and this fall has been CRAZY. This is both good and bad. I love photography. I love interacting this people and sharing my talent, but I quickly get overwhelmed with the amount of work all that brings. It's exhilarating and exhausting all at once. But even with the stress, I love my life and I am grateful for all that I have.

Halloween: Layla was a gypsy, Isaac was an Angry Bird, and Jack was a Zombie.

And Noah was Sebastian.

This was a song Layla wrote for her friend that was sick. I died when I read it. So much feeling!

This is a collection of Jack pictures over the years. He is so handsome.
