Most mornings I get up with Jack and catch up on some news before Layla wakes up. Lately the morning temperatures have been in the negatives or single digits. And that's not counting the wind chill factor. In most morning news reports, the wind chill drops the temp to -10 or colder.
So...we don't go anywhere unless we absolutely have to. Consequently, we also don't get out of our jammies until...well...occasionally never. We spend our winter mornings eating oatmeal, playing with Jack, painting, coloring, and watching Disney Princess Sing-alongs. Occasionally we will brave the cold to run some important errands, but in my opinion, most things can wait until Caton comes home and then he can do them for me.

My little jammie buddies!

What a great smile! Jack is really a happy baby. It took a lot of work sometimes to get Layla to smile as a baby. Jack smiles at everything and everyone.

Note Layla's crazy bed head. It's a fight every morning to get her to hold still while I attack the rat's nest in the back.

Maybe you can't tell from the picture, but Layla and Jack have the same beautiful blue eyes.

You guys seriously need to have ten kids so that they can all be baby models and make you rich!
How is life with two kids? Luke is only 17 months and we feel like we've had two kids forever. Layla looks like she is a good little helper though.
Oh, and thanks for the book suggestions on my blog!
