Jellycats

The best baby shower gift I ever received was a little stuffed dog. The brand name is Jellycats and if anyone is looking for a great gift...get a Jellycat! I can't even express how much I love these little animals. Layla's dog is affectionately named "Scruffy" and for anyone who is around Layla...he is her best friend. What was once soft, clean and shiny is know ratty, dingy and very loved. From the day Layla was born, they have been inseparable. We even have a "backup Scruffy" in case--heaven forbid--something should happen to her little friend.

When Jack was born, we got him a Jellycats monkey. First Layla wanted to call him "job" but after some further consideration, she decided on "King Louis." We will see if that sticks...

One day Jack woke up from his nap and before I could get to him, Layla offered him her Scruffy to help calm him down. Sure enough, it worked. Again...buy your kid one of these. They are like magic!
