It's not even lunch time and Jack has managed to wreak so much havoc this morning...I am already about to lose it (usually that doesn't happen until just before their bedtime).
Just this morning our little sweet 9 month old has managed to:
-wrestle out of my grip while changing his diaper getting poop EVERYWHERE!
-grab the diaper before I could clean it up and try to eat it
-overturn his highchair (he wasn't in it) spilling mushy bananas and half eaten cheerios onto the floor and then, of course, crawl all over them
-empty out yesterday's garbage out of the trash and put into his mouth who knows what (I was out of the room for this one)
-terrorize Layla to the point of tears by crawling after her wanting to pull her hair
-get a hold of my diaper bag
-break my sunglasses that were in my diaper bag
-pull all the pots and pans out of the cupboard
-get into my scrapbooking supplies and rip a few pages of really cute paper!

You may wonder where I was during all this destruction. I was just trying to do my normal morning thing. I think I am so used to Layla who never, NEVER got into anything that I haven't yet taken the necessary steps to "Jack"-proof my house. This morning has made me realize that this is going to be a very different experience with Jack. Luckily he does all this with the cutest one-toothed smile so it's hard to stay upset.

Yeah, I've been there. This isn't to quite the same scale, but yesterday I was making Ryan a bottle and set it on the counter to pour Sophie's . Then, I gave it to him while I was changing his diaper. It was until after I was done that I realized what mess he was. I didn't shake the bottle or finish screwing the top on. Way to go Mom! Oh well. There are worse things, like poop!
Days like this are exactly why I'm holding out hope for a girl someday! I'm sure I'm overrating the gender differences, but I like to hold out hope :)
