I did it...

I actually did it! My eyes are now 20/20 and 20/15. Can you believe that? It has been blowing my mind all day...that I am seeing clearly with my eyes...my own eyes!  Although today, I am pretty crazy/scary to look at. I still have different sized pupils from the dilation drops and the whites of my eyes have big red "bruises" that should go away in a few weeks. And to top that whole look off, I cannot wear eye makeup for four days...I really look awesome right now!

The whole LASIK process was super scary and very uncomfortable--I'm not going to lie--and the first night was almost unbearable. My eyes were burning and tearing up all night--I could barely sleep. But I finally fell asleep and when I woke up I felt a thousand times better. And...I could see! I actually could look over at the clock and see what time it was. Amazing!

Now life is back to normal...I went grocery shopping this morning and went to put stuff away in my deep freeze. As I opened the door, I was blown away by the disgusting odor of rotting meat.  Turns out my sweet, darling little boy unplugged the freezer and from what I could tell from the state of all the ruined food, it had been a few days. All my meat--all my Costco purchases and "sale" stock-ups--was disgusting. And what's worse is that all the rotten meat juices had dripped over all the over less-perishable items (frozen bread, zip-lock bagged cheese, fruit, and vegetables). I tried to salvage some "sealed items" but ended up throwing almost all of it away to be safe.  Sigh...What can you do?

That is so exciting! Toss those glasses away for good!

And the deep freeze thing is SUCH a bummer. That's when you just take a deep breath and try to laugh . . .
