merry christmas...

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...so instead of journaling our entire week, here are some of my favorite holiday pictures. I will say that we had so much fun in California--skiing at Mammoth, eating lots of good food, playing speed scrabble, watching movies (or in Caton's case...falling asleep during movies), hanging out with the family--it was a great vacation.

This next picture is my absolute favorite Christmas memory this year. For our Christmas Eve nativity reenactment, Layla was--of course--Mary and in Jack's search for a Joseph costume, he somehow ended up with a Samari outfit of some sort. He loved it and so our nativity this year was very...unique...

And of course what would Christmas be without my dad getting some sort of remote control gadget. This years winner was dueling air spinner...things...

And the best gift of the day...my mom's "onion cutting goggles". No joke...these are specifically made to wear while cutting onions. I laughed at her, but I think I secretly want them...

As always, beautiful pictures. I seriously think that when the kids are a bit older, you should start your own business. I love your attention to details.

I'm sorry we missed out on getting together while you were down (one of these days!), but it made me smile to see all the pictures of your family home together in Agoura at Christmas time. Don't kids make everything fun and magical? (well, besides the puking, I could relate to everything on your list, and then some). Happy New Year!
