the zoo...

Finally! A beautiful day in June! Such a perfect day to go to the zoo. We saw all the animals, ate lunch, took a turn on the carousel and train, and were home in time for naps! That is the perfect kind of zoo trip...

And...I think I took some of my favorite pics of the kids to date. Can you even handle Layla's eyes in some of these? I love them!

These next two pictures of Jack just crack me up...

If you look carefully, you can see that on our carousel ride, Jack's face has the same sort of expression. His mouth is kinda of puckered or twisted up in a funny way. I was very perplexed during the carousel ride as to why he wasn't smiling or laughing...

It's cause he still had lunch in his mouth! The dang kid still wouldn't swallow his food that he had "finished" 10 minutes ago! Who keeps a lovely pb&j in their mouth for 10 minutes? Such a funny little kid...
