Every season, I seem to love Utah more and more. I am not a huge fan of the summer heat, but come September I really enjoy the cooler tail end of summer.
Today was the perfect day with perfect weather (except no Caton--so I guess it wasn't completely perfect). We drove up Provo Canyon to Bridal Veil Falls and had a picnic with Sally, Paden, and Ethan and Corissa's family. The kids played in the water--Layla explored every inch of the rock pool and Jack threw rocks the entire time. And after we had had enough waterfall, we drove up to Sundance and took a scenic ride on the chair lift. Aside from being scared to death that one of my kids would fall off and then accidentally letting Jack run in front of a moving chair (poor kid got whacked in the face), we had a really fun time. The mountains are so beautiful!
And although I am thoroughly enjoying September, I am already getting excited for my most favorite month. Only 23 days to go!
