turning six...

My Layla turned 6 on Saturday. I seriously cannot believe she is so old. Here is a snapshot of our little 6 year old:

She is in kindergarten and LOVES it.

She has many friends and loves to play with them outside.

She has already lost a tooth.

She is creative and loves to draw.

She loves playing mother to her dolls (she is going to be a good big sister).

She has a very distinct fashion style and changes her clothes at least 3 times a day.

She is very good to her brother Jack. They are best friends.

She still sleeps with her Scruffy dog.

She loves to bake with her mom.

She is learning how to read and can already read books on her own.

She loves getting pedicures with her mom (she always asks for polka dots).

She hates to run errands. She would rather stay home and play.

She loves to earn money and does her chores everyday.

She loves to say goodbye to her daddy in the morning. If he leaves while she is still asleep, she gets very upset.

She usually obeys her parents.

She is sweet and sensitive and empathetic. She cares about other people and how they feel. She always wants to choose the right and immediately feels bad if she makes a bad choice.

I just love this little girl. We had a great birthday weekend with her. On Saturday, we went to lunch and got pedicures. Then she went to a soccer game with her dad and froze to death. On Sunday, we invited friends and family over for "pinkalicious" cupcakes (homemade by moi) and ice cream. She got a "delicate" doll with lots of doll clothes and so I think she will stay entertained for a while...at least until Christmas.

My mom is coming to visit this week and then we start another round of celebrations....Halloween and Jack's b-day. I love this time of year!
