Yesterday was Caton's 32nd birthday. We started celebrating Monday night with a family birthday party (with Boston Cream Pie). Layla bought him a cd - Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits - and Jack picked out a Wii game - Super Mario Bros. I thought Caton would appreciate the kids' efforts more than their actual gifts, but he played the Wii all night and listened to MJ all the next day, so I guess they picked good.
Tuesday morning, Caton arrived at work to find his office looking like this:
He called me up and had me bring the kids over. They were in heaven playing in a room full of balloons. They could have stayed there all day.
After I dropped Layla off at school, Caton's assistant watched Jack so Caton and I could go to Cheesecake Factory for lunch. It's one of our favorite places. I got this for dessert. mmm...
That evening Caton and I went to the temple and although I had a hard time sitting through a session (I'm just so uncomfortable) I loved going there with Caton on his birthday. Top off all that with a late night run to In-n-Out and a new episode of LOST and I have to say it was a great day (and it wasn't even my birthday). I hope Caton enjoyed it as much as I did.
