princess ball...

First of all, can I say that these pictures of Layla make me very, very nervous...what am I going to do with this girl when she starts dating? I know I am extremely biased, but seriously...is she a cute or what?

Okay, so Caton took Layla out on a daddy/daughter date tonight to the Princess Ball. I was a little skeptical of the event because it was put on by Lifetime Fitness (gym) but apparently it was pretty legit. After an hour of primping at home, Layla and Caton arrived at the "ball" and were "announced" very formally to the crowd as "Layla Hanson, daughter of Caton Hanson!" They met all the Disney princesses, had hors d'oeuvres, rode in a carriage, took pictures, and danced the night away. Layla came home happy and tired and a little sick to her stomach (probably from the chocolate fountain).

I love that Caton took her to this. I remember having daddy/daughter dates with my dad and how special I felt (even if we only went to McDonalds).

I love that Layla drew me a picture of what she wanted to look like for her date prior to getting ready. She put a lot of thought into the hair and makeup and outfit. She wanted to look perfect.

I love that Caton danced with her (I can barely get him to dance with me).

I love that they love spending time together.

I loved spending time with Jack while they were gone - even though he told me that he would rather have been out on a dad-date than a mom-date.
