Jack...

Jack. What can I say about Jack? He is my biggest joy and my biggest challenge. He is sweet and loving and funny, but he also is stubborn and thinks he knows e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! You can't tell him something if he thinks otherwise. It's very frustrating at times.

Here are some things I love about Jack:

He loves to sing. Just in the past few months, Caton and I have noticed that he truly loves music. He asks to listen to music all the time. He sings all the time. He knows all the words to his favorite primary songs as well as a few Dave Mathews Band numbers and even a little Vanilla Ice (I love that). He has the sweetest singing voice and loves to serenade me in the car (as long as I don't sing with him...he is definitely a solo act.)

He loves his dad. I try not to get offended or sad when he says things like "mom, I wish dad were home today and not you" but it is a little sad to hear. He's not snotty about it or rude, he just loves, loves, loves being with his dad. He dresses like his dad. Acts like his dad. Yells at other drivers like his dad. He just wants to be like his dad. And I love that.

He is obsessed with all things electronic. I have to monitor the time he spends on Caton's ipod or ipad because he literally would play on them all day.

He loves riding his bike.

He loves chocolate milk (and that's about it).

He tells me that he loves me and that I'm "awesome" or "the best" at least a five times a day. Especially when I give him something he asks for. If he asks for a snack and I say "sure" he looks at me like I am the coolest mom ever and says "thanks mom, you are so awesome!" Needless to say, I like to give him a lot of snacks.

He has two little freckles on the top and bottom of his mouth. I love them to death.

He also as the slightest dimple in is left cheek when he smiles. I love that even more than the freckles.

He says the funniest things and makes the funniest faces. He is the most animated boy I have ever met.

I love Jack so much. Even though some days are quite challenging, he makes up for it in sweetness and cuteness. Most of the time.
