For some reason I completely slacked off this Easter. No matching church outfits, no cute church clothes pictures, no elaborate easter baskets, no ham for dinner, no delicious desserts... I just didn't get into it as much as I usually do. I am not sure why...
We did do the basics--dye eggs, make bunny sugar cookies, and have an easter egg hunt. However, our easter egg hunt (with our friends) kept getting postponed and when it was finally time to go, I was too lazy to empty out their already full easter baskets. Consequently, all my easter egg hunt pictures are slightly white trash because my kids are carrying around plastic grocery sacks...yuck!
I guess it's not about cute pictures or cute church clothes or good food. I tried to teach Layla and Jack as much as their little heads could handle about the reason we celebrate Easter. Hopefully it sticks.
