zoo, carnivals, and conference...

Layla is out of school for 3 weeks and I am already so excited to live it up in October! Thursday we went to the zoo and saw the sweetest, smallest baby elephant. I was in love. But although the zoo was fun, it turned out to be the day EVERYONE went. So crowded! By the end of the day, I was ready to leave.

On Friday, I took the kids to a WITCH carnival. The kids got their faces painted, got lost in a hay maze, and ate doughnuts at the local bakery. It was cold and crisp--the perfect fall day.

Yesterday, Caton and I got to go to conference at the conference center in Salt Lake City. Not only were the talks amazing, but we extended our little morning date with lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Yum. We even got to go on a date that night. I think I saw the kids for only a few hours...it was a nice day.

Today we have been lounging in our pajamas all day watching conference. My sink is full of dishes from all our amazing conference food and both my brother and sister and Caton's brother's family are spending the day with us. It is rainy and cold outside, but we have lots of blankets, warm food, and a hot chocolate maker...we are very full and very warm.

Can you see why I love October...

Love October! Our kids are off too, and I am loving it! Have fun with your cuties. I may call you tomorrow and ask you about camera lenses. Need one to capture October! Have a great night! Love, Laura
